| Ron Williams: Pure Refined Country |
The Country roots of Ron Williams run so deep he can't recall not being part of it. Although he didn't initially pursue a music career, he found out if it's who you are, you won't outrun it for long. Being the son of the legendary Leona Williams, he grew up surrounded by the very core of the industry.
Photographs of Ron in the company of industry legends or sleeping in a guitar case beside the Opry stage as a small child while Mom performed, reflects a life that was perfectly normal to him.
Approaching country music from the inside has more often than not presented monumental obstacles for the offspring of famous performers who cast long shadows. But Ron doesn't appear to be intimidated with that part of it which is evident in his single "Natural Thing," a song which can only be described as pure refined country. His latest CD called "Texas Style" is quite a treasure for anyone who
likes the real feel of country. "Bridge That Just Won't Burn" and "Playboy" are just a couple of recognizable gems with his personal touch that makes them shine like never before.
To try to catorgize his music by influence would make just about as much sense as sorting out the stars in the sky because there are obviously many, although some have been quick to name Merle Haggard and Keith Whitley. Yet when you hear the rich refined tone of his voice, it's clearly a hereditary gift which belongs to him and him alone. If you pay attention to ratings, rarely will you find anything this artist does assigned anything less than five stars.
